LONDON (Reuters) - Alvaro Morata has adapted well to physical
requirements to start a regular fixture with the Premier League
champions, said coach Antonio Conte, saying he was not surprised by the
brilliance of the new Spanishcomer.
The Real Madrid striker and Juventus, who had already scored six goals in the same number of matches in the league, matched Manchester United striker Romilo Lucaco and Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero.
Murata also scored at Chelsea's 2-1 win at Atletico Madrid on Wednesday and appeared to be limping after the match but Conte confirmed the 24-year-old striker was ready to play against Manchester City at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.
"I'm not surprised because I know Alvaro well," said Conti. "It's not easy to get into this league and keep it going."
"Morata has developed physically and this is his first chance to play regularly as a spearhead. Do not forget his experiences with Juventus and Real Madrid. He did not play regularly."
Chelsea are third on three points behind leaders Citi, and Conte have already surpassed Pep Guardiola twice in the league last season.
